Outline: A fox falls into  a well … cannot … get out…. A goat comes there… invites the goat to come in… goat jumps… fox gets on her back… jumps out…. Goat left behind helpless… Moral

Story: Once a fox fell into a well (کنواں). The well was not very deep(گہرا) . He tried to get out but in vain(بے سود) . By chance(اتفاقا)  a goat passed there. She looked into the well. She found the fox there. She said “what are you doing here?” the fox said, “ I am taking a bath(غسل کرنا) . Come down and enjoy it.” The goat did not think. She at once jumped down. The fox got on(چڑھ جانا)  her back and jumped out. The cried for help. The fox did not listen to her and run away.

Moral:

Look before you leap.(چھلانگ لگانے سے قبل اچھی طرح دیکھ لو)

ایک لومڑی اور بکری کی کہانی

ایک دفعہ ایک لومڑی ایک کنواں میں گر گئی۔ کنواں زیادہ گہرا نہیں تھااس نے باہر نکلنے کی کوشش کی لیکن ناکام رہی۔ اتفاقاُُ وہاں سے ایک بکری کا گزر ہوا۔اس نے لومڑی کو وہاں دیکھا۔ اس نے کہا تم یہاں کیا کر رہے ہو۔ لومڑی نے کہا میں یہاں نہانے آیا ہوں۔نیچے آو اور تیم بھی نہاوبکری نے کچھ نہ سوچا اور چھلانگ لگا دی۔ لومڑی نے اس کی پیٹھ پر چڑھ کر باہر چھلانگ لگا دی۔ بکری مدد کے لیے چلانے لگی۔ لومڑی نے اس کی ایک نہ سنی اور بھاگ گئی۔

Outline: A hungry fox finds nothing to eat…. Reaches a garden…. Sees grapes….. Jumps to pluck them… falls in his attempt… goes away saying ….. The grapes are sour… Moral


Story: Once a fox(لومڑ)  felt very hungry(بھوک لگی) . He went out in search of(تلاش میں)  food. At last, he reached a garden. He saw some grapes(انگور)  hanging(لٹکے ہوئے)  very high. He wanted to get them. So he jumped(اچھلا) at them. He tried again and again but failed to reach them. The grapes were there but he could not get them. At last, he gave up(ترک کرنا)  the attempt(کوشش) . He was very sad. He left the Garden, saying, “The grapes are sour(کھٹے) ” I must not eat them.”

Moral:

1. People pretend to dislike what they cannot get.(جو حاصل نہ ہو سکے لوگ کہتے ہیں ہمیں پسند ہے)
2. The Grapes are sour.(انگور کھٹے ہیں)
3. When a man cannot get a thing, he says that he does not want it.
(جب کسی کو کوئی چیز حاصل نہ ہو سکے، تو وہ کہتا ہے مجھے اس کی ضرورت نہیں)

ایک لومڑ اور انگور اردو کہانی

ایک لومڑ تھا وہ بہت ہی بھوکا تھا۔ اس نے کھانے کی تلاش شروع کی۔ آخر کار وہ ایک باغ میں پہنچا۔ اس نے کچھ اونچے لٹکے ہوئے انگور دیکھے وہ انہیں حاصل کرنا چاہتا تھا۔ اس نے اچھلنا شروع کیااس نے بار بار کوشش کی لیکن ناکام رہا۔ انگور وہاں موجود تھے لیکن وہ انہیں حاصل نہ کر سکا۔ آخر کار اس نے اپنی کوشش ترک کر دی۔ وہ بہت دوکھی تھا۔ اس باغ سے باہر چلا گیا اور کہنے لگاانگور بہت کھٹے ہیں میں انہیں نہیں کھاوں گا۔

The Greedy Dog Short Story

Outline: A dog with a piece of meat… crosses a stream… sees his own shadow … thinks another dog in the water… barks  at him to get his piece… loses his own piece. Moral

Story: Once there was a dog. He was very greedy (لالچی). One day, he stole a piece of meat (گوشت کا ٹکڑا) from a shop. He wanted to eat it all alone. So he ran away to the jungle. There was a stream(ندی)  on the way. When he was passing over the bridge(پل) . He saw his shadow(عکس)  in the water. He thought it was another dog with a piece of meat. He wanted to get this piece also. He opened his mouth to bark (بھونکنا). His own piece of meat fell down into the water. Now he had nothing fell down into the water. Now he had nothing to eat.

Moral:

Do not a greedy(لالچ نہ کرو)
Greed is a curse(لالچ بری بلا ہے)

لالچی کتا اردو کہانی

  ایک کتا تھا وہ بہت لالچی تھا۔ ایک دن اسے ایک گوشت کا ٹکڑا ملاجو اس نے ایک دوکان سے چرایا تھا اور وہ اسے اکیلا کھانا چاہتا تھا وہ جنگل میں میں بھاگا۔ راستے میں ایک ندی تھی۔ جب وہ پل پار کرنے لگا تو اس نے پانی میں اپنا عکس دیکھا اس نے سوچا کے وہ ایک دوسرا کتا ہےجس کے پاس ایک گوشت کا ٹکڑا ہے۔ اس نے اپنامنہ کھولا اور وہ اس پر بھونکا۔ اس کا اپنا گوشت کا ٹکڑا پانی میں گر گیا۔ اب اسے پانی میں کچھ بھی نظر نہ آیا۔ اب اسکے پاس کھانے کے لیے بھی کچھ نہ تھا۔

نتیجہ

لالچ بری بلا ہے۔

Once I was a hot day. A crow felt very thirsty (پیاس لگی). He flew here and there in search of (کی تلاش) water. At last, he saw a jug in a garden. He flew to it. But there was a little  (بہت کم)water in the jug. His beak  (چونچ)could not reach water. He was some pieces of stone nearby(قریب ہی) . He thought of plan(ترکیب سوجھی) . He dropped(ڈالے)  them one by one into the jug. The water rose up(اوپر چڑھا) . He drank it and flew away. Now he was very happy.

Moral:

Try and you will get; where there is a will, there is a way.
Necessity is the mother of invention.

پیاسا کوا اُردو کہانی

ایک دفعہ ایک کوے کو سخت پیاس لگی۔وہ پانی کی تلاش میں ادھر ادھر اڑا۔ اس کی نظریں پانی تلاش کر رہی تھیں مگر پانی کہیں نظر نہ آیا۔ اس نے ہمت نہ ہاری اور پانی کی تلاش جاری رکھی۔ اچانک باغ میں اسے ایک گھڑا نظر آیا۔ اس نے پانی پینے کی کوشش کی مگر گھڑے میں پانی بہت کم تھا اس کی چونچ پانی تک نہ پہنچ سکی۔وہ بڑا پریشان ہوا۔ اس کے ذہن میں ایک ترکیب آئی۔ وہ اڑ کر گیا اور اپنی چونچ میں ایک کنکر لے کر واپس لوٹا۔ یہ کنکر اس نے گھڑے میں ڈال دیا۔ پانی کچھ اوپر آیا مگر وہ ابھی پانی نہیں پی سکتا تھا۔ اسی طرح وہ لگاتار کنکر گھڑے میں ڈالتا گیا اور پانی آہستہ آہستہ اوپر آ گیا۔ کوے کی اس عقلمندی اور مسلسل محنت سے پانی گھڑے کے منہ تک آگیا۔ کوے نے جی بھر کر پانی پیا اور اپنی پیاس بجھائی۔ خدا کا شکر ادا کیا اور اڑ گیا۔ واقعی لگاتار محنت کامیابی و کامرانی کا زینہ ہے۔
